Our Neighbors

Dodge Flower is not an island unto itself and we're lucky to have some wonderful nearby "neighbors".

Remember if you've got friends, family or acquaintances in any of these neighborhoods that have newsletters, a website or active association, you should let them know and especially for the struggling neighborhoods around Alvernon north of Grant Road.
The Garden District

The Garden District is catty-corner to us (Grant - Alvernon - Columbus - Speedway) and their Secretary has been kind enough to volunteer to put out our newsletter while we're getting back on our feet again.  This is such a great way for us to communicate and we can't thank her enough for her assistance!

You can visit their website at https://gdna.weebly.com/ .  They've got all kinds of great info and you can subscribe to their WEEKLY newsletter too!

This is a FANTASTIC Neighborhood Association that puts on many events and is very healthy and active.
North Dodge

North Dodge is directly north of us and actually shares three of the same boundaries we do:  Glenn, Palo Verde and Alvernon.  Glenn Street is their southern boundary while it's our northern one and the their northern boundary is Ft. Lowell.

After completely falling apart years ago, North Dodge is trying to re-activate and the gal spearheading that was kind enough to build and donate to us this website.

They've got their own website:  https://northdodgena.weebly.com and they're also putting out regular newsletters.   Plenty of info there that affects us too -- Feel free to subscribe!

Oak Flower

Oak Flower is in the process of re-activating.  They've got plans with Trees for Tucson and free trees, are already putting out a monthly newsletter (sign up here:  https://oakflower.weebly.com/newsletters.html ) and have a website up for resources and information!

You can reach that webiste here:  https://oakflower.weebly.com .

Please let friends and family that are in the Oak Flower boundaries of Grant, Columbus, Alvernon and Monte Vista know about the newsletters and website!

Palo Verde

Like the Garden District, Palo Verde is another really big NA with borders on Grant, Alvernon, Speedway and Country Club.

It's also extremely active and healthy and puts on many events as well.

They too put out a WEEKLY newsletter and you can sign up for that from their website at https://paloverdeneighborhood.org/

Doolen Fruitvale

We're not too sure what's happening with our next-door neighbor, Doolen Fruitvale, so if you know anybody that's involved in the neighborhood association, please let us know.  We're really hoping all the neighborhoods north of Grant will begin to re-energize and re-vitalize!

Doolan Fruitvale boundaries:  Grant, Glenn, Palo Verde, Country Club
Cabrini

We're aware that Cabrini struggles but still has something going on there.  No newsletter and their website has been allowed to fall completely out of date but a bare-bones printed newsletter went out recently.

Like the rest of us north of Grant, they struggle getting participation.

Boundaries:  Glenn, Ft. Lowell, Country Club, Palo Verde

PLEASE, if you have friends, family, acquaintances in any of these neighborhoods, let them know they all want and need participation.  Both the Garden District and Palo Verde NA's are healthy, functioning and active and provide terrific resources and assistance to their neighborhoods.

The others are all struggling and really need participation or people to get them back up and running again.  We all affect each other and more of us that are active and helping our communities, the better off we'll all be.
