Grant Alvernon Area Plans
"Phases 3 & 4" of the Grant Road Improvement Project will be starting in 2021 and is scheduled to finish up in 2024. Phases 3 & 4 extend from Palo Verde almost to Swan.
A tremendous amount of the landscape around the new road will be changing with structures being razed, new buildings going up and much more. With this, the need for oversight comes into play and the 1999 Grant Alvernon Area Plans require updating to better meet what the community wants for it's future in this area.
This is also especially important as much of that area has now been designated an "Opportunity Zone". Basically an Opportunity Zone is a designation created by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 allowing for certain investments in lower income areas to have tax advantages. Please see map below.
These things will have an enormous impact on us.
A committee has been formed and Dodge Flower is represented to help update the Grant Alvernon Area Plans but input from residents, businesses and organizations is imperative to make sure that the updates represent the wants, needs and values of our community.
